Season Passes
A Season Pass provides the holder access to our sailing and rowing fleet.

Season Pass Holder Skills Evaluation and Waiver: Before a Season Pass holder can take out one of our boats, a skills evaluation test is required. This may include an on-water test, a written test, a review of the Season Pass holder's boating resume and any other evaluations deemed necessary by NCCSR to ensure that safety standards are met. Classes are available and might be required before you are allowed to check out a boat. In addition, a Waiver and Damages Form will need to be signed by the Season Pass holder before any NCCSR boat may be taken out on the water without NCCSR personnel on board.

On Sailboats, only the "skipper" is required to have a Season Pass. Crew do not need a Season Pass but must sign a waiver.

All persons using a Rowing shell are required to have a Season Pass.

Row or Sail, all for the same season pass price.    If you're primarily interested in one sport, but haven't tried the other, now's your opportunity!

If rowing is your interest, we meet at the Lake Norman YMCA. Times and dates are subject to change, check the rowing page for details.  We are always looking for new participants. If you are interested in joining us, please call us at the center (704) 947-7245  or email Steve Schreiner at steve@schreinergrp.com.

If Sailing is your interest, we meet at Blythe Landing. A Season Pass "Free Sail" might meet your needs. Free Sail simply means you wish to go sailing and bring your own crew.

Our Free Sail hours are:

Tuesday Noon to 8:00 PM
Wednesday 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM
Thursday Noon to 8:00 PM
Friday 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Saturday 7:30 AM to Noon.

Once you've purchased your season pass and have been given the green light to skipper a sailboat, you can take out a boat during these hours, as long as there are boats available; classes and organized Social Sails have priority.  24 hour notice requested please.

We also offer organized "Social Sails". These are:

Wednesday evening from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Saturday mornings from 7:30 AM - Noon.

In "Social Sailing" we mix and match skippers and crew and typically have some basic racing activity to improve our skills. If you are new to our Center, we are pleased to offer you a complimentary first time / one time only, participation in one of our organized "Social Sailing" events. Let us know 24 hours a head of time please.

We also offer Monday evening "sunfish racing" from 6:00 PM (first race starts) to 8:00 PM.

And "420 youth racing" on Thursday evenings from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Note that the Center and all on water activities at Blythe Landing are CLOSED on holiday long weekends.
