The success of North Carolina Community Sailing & Rowing depends on community volunteers like YOU!   Our volunteer schedule is a monthly calendar - no long term commitment required!  If you are interested and can devote some of your time, please contact the center at 704.947.SAIL (7245) or email info@nccsailrow.org.  We'd love to have you on board.   

Office Administration
We're looking for pleasant people to help us answer the phone, return phone calls, help us with filing, give tours of the property and supervise walk-in registration using our computer.  We are also looking for help with data input and need help with a mailing next month.

Boat Launching and Retrieval
The volunteers that will help us here will need their own vehicle with a trailer hitch ( 1 7/8) to help us move the boats from their stored location to the boat launch at Blythe Landing.  After classes, boats are retrieved and returned to the storage area.  This effort will support each sailing class. 

Boat & Trailer maintenance 
We're looking for a group of skilled folks who can perform routine maintenance, fiberglass work, and repair/replace parts as necessary.  Our current fleet includes 7-Flying Scot sailboats and their trailers, 11-420 Dinghys and their dollies, 3 Sunfish and 2 powerboats and their trailers.

Sailing Instructors  
Our sailing program is up and running and we are expanding our pool of interested instructors.  We will train volunteers who are interested and help prepare them to become US Sailing Small Boat Level 1 certified.  Check our website for the schedule of classes offered.  Your commitment can be as minimal as instructing one class. 

Building & Grounds 
We are a start-up operation and we are in the process of converting a 3 bedroom caretaker's home to become the focal point of our sailing and rowing operation.  Help is still required both inside the building and out on the grounds.   Construction and landscaping skills are a plus, however, so is a strong back!
